Rafael-ChandlerWhen Croft Street Fisheries’ Proprietor Rafael Chandler isn’t cooking Farsley’s favourite fish and chips he can be found representing the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) or training fellow fish friers how to use the Florigo frying ranges.

Rafael is one of NFFF’s Executive Councillors for England. As well as being responsible for associated members he also provides help and advice to fish and chip shop owners who are members of the NFFF. He frequenty judges many of the national fish and chip competitions including the Young Fish Frier of the Year (read our news story on last year’s competion), a competition he was runner up in himself in 2006. Rafael is also one of the course tutors for NFFF’s range of training courses providing new and experienced friers with expert tuition on fish frying and preparation skills. Rafael is also responsible for training throughout the UK for Florigo and regularly travels anywhere from northern Scotland to the south coast of England. He provides training to new and existing customers, ensuring they get the most from their frying range.
Florigo are regarded as one of the top fish frying range manufacturers and is the frying range used at Croft Street Fisheries. The ranges are all at the cutting edge of technology and are manufactured in a state of the art factory in Holland. They have built in filtration and are fully computer controlled, benefitting from high efficiency burners to reduce gas consumption.
